Top 10 on Current-Gen: Uncharted

So.. now that we're back, let's go on with the top 10 on current gen. Last game we talked about was Bioschock that got the 5th place on our list. Fourth position goes to a PlayStation exclusive adventure... Uncharted made by Naughty Dog.

Uncharted is an action-adventure and a third-person shooter similar to Tomb Raider games but with much more focus on shooting. Also, while Lara works alone, Drake, the main protagonist of Uncharted series, often finds himself working with Elena Fisher, a journalist who came with him and eventually, after three games they let themselves go and acknowledge their love.

So, what's so good about this game. Well, there are a lot of good things. Well start with the obvious, the graphics. Being a PlayStation exclusive, it has allowed Naughty Dog to really use all of the potential of PS, so graphically, there's barely any game that comes close on PlayStation.

Animations, player control, shooting etc.. are also superbly done. You feel like you're in there and have full control of the character at any time. While the games also provide some great cinematic moments where you feel like you're watching a movie. So it's a perfect blend of both worlds.

As for the story, Uncarted trilogy follows Nathan Drake who is supposed to be descendant of Sir Francis Drake as he explores ancient locations such as looking for El Dorado in the first game, temples in Himalayas and Nepal in the second game, and the sands of Arabia in the third game.

Separately, they are told in detail and follow believable characters. And while all three games tie up to each other by having many characters that appear in all three games like Elena, or his mentor Victor.. sometimes there's a feeling like they didn't tie all three stories together strong enough and that's really the only bad thing to say about it.

So if you have a PlayStation, and even if you don't get one and get the Uncharted series before it's too late.
